Swimming Pool Dangers Caused by Hurricane Ike

Since many fences were torn down by Hurricane Ike, swimming pools are now easier for children and pets fall into. Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services reminds home owners and apartment managers to prevent injuries by placing temporary barriers around swimming pools. Additionally, do not leave children unattended around water, even if the child knows how to swim.
