The Disease Control and Clinical Prevention (DCCP) division provides clinical and population-based preventive health services as well as population-focused disease and injury control activities.  The division operates for (4) preventive health clinics and twelve (12) Women, Infants and Children (WIC) sites located throughout Harris County

Health Services include:

  • Immunizations for children and adults
  • Family planning 
  • Dental services for children
  • Tuberculosis (TB) related services
  • HIV counseling, testing and education
  • Supplemental nutrition program for WIC

Disease and Injury Control activities include:

  • Epidemiologic surveillance
  • Injury and chronic disease monitoring
  • Chronic disease screening, education and referral
  • Immunization outreach
  • School-based dental education
  • Health screening for refugees
  • Tuberculosis (TB) education, outreach, disease investigation and treatment
