Goal of Healthy Places / Healthy Environment Healthy Homes Initiative

Provides a coordinated approach to address multiple housing related issues affecting the health and safety of children and older adults residing in Harris County, excluding the City of Houston thus decreasing injuries, illness and death.

To accomplish this we will:

Promote community-wide education and awareness of multiple housing conditions responsible for disease and injury through the demonstration project.

Change behaviors of participants to provide healthy and safe housing conditions for their children and older adults residing in their homes.
